Purification to sweep the Davisbakerycaribbean.Com Handicap at Windsor
Windsor will become home for the Class 3 Davisbakerycaribbean.Com Handicap over a mile, three furlongs and onethirty-five yards on Monday, 21st May. Contesting for the £6,792 prize money is a line-up of twelve four-year and older runners.
Purification, Hurricane Run’s four-year-old bay gelding out of mare, Ceanothus, has raced and won at Windsor during the previous season.
He was the 7/4 favourite winner of the Sportingbet.Com Maiden Stakes on 18th April at Windsor over a mile and two furlongs. Riding with William Buick, he took charge of the final three lengths and set Communicator, into the runner up’s position.
Dressing Room settled third behind the winner.
This is his only career success till yet. His welcoming race for the 2012 season was the Robinsonsofbawtry.Com Handicap at Doncaster over a mile and two and a half furlong on 28th April.
The title was taken away by War Poet as Purification ended ninth on the track of twelve. The 9/4 favourite of the race, High Jinx, finished fourth in line.
He is in for the second try of the season and this time it is at Windsor. He should bring into use the racing and winning experience there and dominate the track today.
An entry to have raced at Windsor recently is Uphold, Oasis Dream’s five-year-old bay gelding out of mare, Allegro Viva. He has raced five times during the new season.
He won his seasonal debut.
Uphold snatched away the Prix Du Taillis (Conditions) by a highly narrow margin of a nose from the runner up of the race, Falun. Taking up the third spot was Street Lair while the 3/1 favourite of the race, Fellini, ended fifth.
He was unsuccessful in the rest of the races that followed and ranked fifth in the Davis West Indian Bakery Handicap at Windsor on 7th May over a mile and two furlongs.
The race was won by Aldwick Bay who led the runner up, Copper Canyon, by 1 ¼ lengths.
The 11/4 favourite of the race, Big Creek, ended fourth on the field of ten.
He is in for the sixth start of the season and a second straight try at Windsor.
