Purple Highlights and Ramiele Malubay Hair?

Ok so I have light brown hair and I want to cut it in the style of ramiele malubay's hair (from american idol) and I want to get purple highlights. I have really long hair and I'm pretty pale..I was wondering if it would suit me?

i dont think that purple highlights are a good idea but maybe a purple streak

i don't think they would show up very good and i think it would look better if your hair was black with some purple highlights.
