Purple bell peppers ?

im growing purple bell peppers and they are developing rotting spots. im new to gardening

Your peppers could have blossem end rot, bacterial soft rot, sunscald, Antracnose fruit rot or one of several other viral or fungual diseases.  You should to take a sample to your garden store and maybe they can identify the problem.  Or, help us out by providing a bit more info-where on the fruit is the rot, what color is it, is the rest of the plant healthy or yellowed, withered, striped, or with rotten spots.  Sorry, I can't be more help to you.
