I am doing a project for school, and I need to bring in food that American soldiers ate during the Pursian Golf War. Any suggestions?

  1. True, true ... ha ha ha ha ha! that tickles me.

  2. MRE were the primary food stuffs that were eaten and LOTS of water.  I prefered the ham and made a sandwich when I could get some of the MRE bread, I also enjoyed the peanut butter and crackers and dried strawberries.

As far as once the war was over, at the mess halls they served chicken and spaghettie quite often.

In Saudi Arabia they eat mostly mutton and do not eat pork, they tended to have mostly chicken for us.

Personally, I did not eat chicken for about 4 years after I got back because they fed it to us about 3-4 times a week and in between spaghetti made with paprika!

My mom would send cans of vienna sausages, sardines, peanuts, crackers, and other thinngs like that.  The Major I worked for has salami, marinated artichokes, olives, etc sent to him and would share with us.

  3. Go to the latrine.
