Pursuing a cancer-abundant gem?

I recently became interested in someone whose mars, moon, and mercury are in cancer. his sun is in gemini, and his venus is in taurus. he seems quite guarded and i keep getting mixed messages. he's relaxed and funny in a group, but instantly clams up and is visibly nervous when we are alone.

i'm a sun libra with a pisces moon, and virgo mars/venus. i'm comfortable with the slow pace, but i am wondering how everything might be affected by the abundance of cancer planets. our suns, moons, mars, and venus are all trines and sextiles. but even so, the aloofness sometimes leaves me wondering whether there is any interest there at all.

I am a cancer and I am very emotional sometimes, but always nervous about showing my feelings!  He may be a lil insecure about showing his feelings because he is not sure how you feel or will react.  You may want to give him alot of compliments and attention.  It seems like he may be a lil high maitenance so let him know how you feel and that you are interested.   From the signs you gave, you seem compatible.  Also, give him attention, but dont be pushy, it may scare him off.  Sometimes, it takes us a lil bit of time to come around because we are scared of our feelings.
