The main motivating philosophy in this movie, I think it's Never Give Up!

Just keep it going no matter what's your circumstances. You must face it and overcome it. Keep your dream alive, whether it's your family, or the things you wish to have. Cause it is the dream that will push you forward. Also be honest for yourself cause honesty is the best policy.

Another thing which impress me the most is how optimistic Chris Gardner is. The part where he answer the interviewer's question on how would he say if someone topless and only a pant went for an interview, and Chris said, "He must have had on some really nice pants." Now that attitude of looking things on the bright side is the key to a person's success.

Cause if I'm not mistaken, I heard a story of Thomas Edison, about during his old age, his house burnt down with all his invention, but he just stood there n ask for his wife to look at the fire which he thought to be something magnificent they never seen before; and said "Thank God for the fire to burn all my mistakes, then I can start all over again."
