Push mail? im Smart phones what does it mean?

what is the Push Mail feature? on the mobiles... ?

Push mail means the server lets the phone know that there is new mail.  This is different from polling where the phone checks a specified intervals i.e. every 5 minutes etc.

As soon as someone sends an email to your email account, yahoo for example.  Your phone will receive a message that an email is waiting for you.  Basically, your email provider ( if it has the technology ) can "PUSH" email out to mobile devices.
