I have a drain under the carpet almost in the middle of the room that needs to be fixed. The room is a big square and the only way to get to the drain is to remove the carpet. I dont know how to remove carpet and how to put it back in without damaging it or making it look bad. how do i do this? i dont really wanna pay someone to come do it for me

  1. Usually carpet is held down with a tack strips that run along the wall. Just pry up the carpet at the walls roll the carpet up to the point you can fix the pipe......

Then after it's finished then roll the carpet back and use a knee kicker or power stretcher to stretch the carpet back into place, then tuck the carpet between the tack strip and the wall......

Also there should be a crawl space under the house, to get to the pipes.......There should some kind of access door to get down there, you  just have to find it......

    Anyway Good Luck..............
