My engine's is gonna get ready to die, (289,000) miles i want her to rest in peace lol, but i want to swap a V-8 engine in it, I do have some extra cash to invest, so dont tell me to just buy a car with a v8.... I wanna put a mustang (4.6) in it, but i think thats too big, so does anybody know what kind of V-8 that will fit in my saturn?? Also can you tell me what kind of parts to buy? (Transmissions, etc)

  1. Saturn lol

  2. Try a FWD V6, that's your best option. A Saturn's unitized framed will not withstand the torque. Not to mention, having to cut the floor pan up to get the transmission in, along with the drive line. And how are you going to mount a rear end housing?

  3. Can you build a car from scratch? You have no idea what you are trying to do. How do you plan on moutning it with a transmission?? Basically you needto put the body on a frame with the parts in it. Like nascar essentially... Your father is a mechanic and hasn't laughed at you??

  4. by extra cash laying around, i hope you mean tens of thousands. No v8 will fit into any saturn without major fabrication. Unless you are very skilled, it wont be done. You can try asking if anyone will even attempt to do that for any amount of money, it just isnt going to happen......

And why would you want a ford 4.6l? Those are absolute dog **** motors

  5. That's awsome!  I had a saturn Sc1 with 160 thousand miles on it before I totaled the thing, she ran great I miss her those babies last forever, unless you crash them like I did lol.  The bodies on the other hand not so good, but if she still has a good body on her I say do it! If you drop a v8 in there you will have the most awsome saturn in the world man send me a picture!

  6. a engine dnt have wheels so what going to pull that car. because the car is to small to pull that engine.

  7. But whyyyy ?

  8. dude if your asking for help on yahoo answers you obviously dont know what your doing and have no idea how much fab work is involved in doing somthing like this.......

  9. hahaha.. a v8 in a saturn??? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.............

  10. ok for one its not gonna fit cause a v8's about twice and a half the size as the 4 banger it has. Also the frame will not be able to handle the power. And theres no way to convert it to a rear wheel drive. Even though you said dont tell you to go buy a mustang Im going to tell you too.

  11. ahahahahahahahahahah a v8 in a piece of c**p saturn  huge problem here, your car is front wheel drive the mustang is rwd = you will need to spend a lot to convert it to rwd its gonna cost you 7000- 9000 MORE THEN YOUR SATURN IS WORTH...
