Putting in a new skimmer in 18"x48 above the ground pool because old skimmer wall section is rusting.?

should i plug the old skimmmer mouth or remove it and put tin or something to cover old skimmer hole and what type of waterproof adhesive will work. i have to cut a new skimmer hole in another panel wall and what tools are required to make and cut new hole.

I don't really know if you could do this yourself, however if you insist. About covering your old skimmer hole, I can't see yours but lets say yours is the same as mine, you could use rubber and use silicone or something of such a sort to cover the hole. I have no idea what your skimmer is made of, but you could use a number of tools, well, any tool that can cut it basically, nothing specific, I mean if you can use scissors then go along! If you can't try buying something that can cut it, go to a hardware store and tell them the material you're cutting, I'm sure they'll come up with something that'll work!
