Question:

Putting in a new speaker system in a 94 regency custom suburban but cant deciede what to get.....HELP!?

i am currently looking at getting the kenwood KAC-6404 amp.....kenwood KDC mp338 stero......and alpine sps-13c2 door speakers 5.25 (size) and the alpine sps 406 4x6 speakers ....................heres the problem.....i have 2 tweeters in my 2nd back seat.....that gives me 6 speakers the head unit only out puts 4.....is it a MUST to have the amp? money is not a problem but i would like to keep it as cheap as possible and still have a good quality sound

  1. its a must to add an amp to any after market speaker set up certainly if you don't have a strong head unit. you can ruin some speakers if you don't connect a amp. because with the amp what it does is stable the sound from your head unit before reaching the speakers. this helps the speakers at high volumes so you don't get distortions which messes up the speakers make sure you get a 4 channel amp and crossovers to connect all speakers to but in this case if your not getting component set ups get a 2 channel amp that will send out enough PROPER power to each crossover for your left and right speakers.
