Question:

Putting in contacts?

I'm having trouble putting in my contacts, and I was told to put them in while looking straight ahead. I'm almost positive it would be easier for me to put them in while looking up, and put them on the white part of my eye. I know some people do this, but is that really the correct way to do it, and does the contact always center itself properly if you do it that way?

  1. just make sure you're opening your eyes very wide.that helps alot

  2. They eventually center themselves. Do what is comfortable for you. :)

  3. There's no harm in looking up and placing the lens below the iris (colored part of the eye). That's the only way I can do it. There really isn't a wrong way, as long as your hands are clean and you do things carefully.

  4. open your eye really big then insert it without blinking then roll your eyes around then they will go in perfectly

  5. You could put them in while looking up if you can do it without a mirror, but it's normally easier to look straight ahead into a mirror to begin with so you can see what you're doing.  They will soon centre themselves anyway as long as they are somewhere near the middle of your eye.
