Putting mousse on hair?

My hair is a little bit puffy(not much) and the ends go straight down and i want my ends to curl so i want to try using herbal essences totally twisted mousse to make curls. Does mousse only work on wet hair or can you use it any time then put your hair in rolers then take them out? You could try something called 'Scrunching' where you wash your hair, squirt on some curling spray and blow dry your hair. Then, squirt quite a large ammount of curling mousse (you will need to use curling mousse) into your hand, and then just grab at your hair basically, scrunching it. Do this repeatedly with more mousse all around your hair until you're satisfied. This only really tends to work right if your hair is good at curling this way, otherwise i'd suggest curlers or curling irons!

You can mousse or gel.

It can only work on wet hair, though.

But, my suggestion is, put hair spray on your hair when its dry, then put rollers in. My mom does that!
