Putting pictures on PS3 with a USB stick?

I am trying to view pictures on my USB stick on the PS3, however when I click on the USB Device on the PS3 menu, it says that there are no files on it.

What am I doing wrong?

As the first guy said, you'll need to highlight your usb stick, then press triangle, then select "display all."

you may not have the right format for the pics.

hit triangle and then display all and if that don't work, try reloading your pics onto the USB device.
