Putting up a PUNCHING BAG?

How strong does your celling have to be to put up a heavy bag

and where should i buy a good cheap one.

i Was actually wondering the same thing so instead i got a standing one for like $100

Lets say if you have a two story house and you're able to walk on the second floor without it collapsing, Im pretty sure the first floor's ceiling will be strong enought to support a punching bag.

First of all if your talking about in your house my advice is NO No No. Even if your not a heavy puncher the vibration from hitting the bag will cause other problems in your ceiling. Your better of to hang it in a Garage or a tree limb. As a former boxing trainer hitting a heavy bag with out some one to correct how you do it can give you hard to unlearn bad habits that can get you in quick trouble if you box some one.As for buying a cheap bag just remember you get what you pay for but i would suggest you check out Ring Side Products on the internet as they have really good prices.....
