Ok so im in college now (have been for three years) and I see myself as a pretty easy goin person. Lately though, Ive noticed that i can almost no longer put up with my fellow classmates. I would wager that a good 4 or 5 of em in my class think that they are oh so hilarious and funny, when in turn, they jeopardize my education and waste my time. I actually want to learn this stuff, and not waste my money like these clowns.

How do i put up with them? Its not like i can just ignore them when i see them 2 times a week.

  1. I feel your pain! The best way to deal with any type of distraction in class is to sit in the front. Studies have shown that there is a correlation between sitting in the front row and better grades. You also might consider transferring to a different university. This sounds like a extremely annoying and unproductive environment.

  2. I am in the a similar situation where people decide that they will show up when they feel like it and thus it leaves you with twice as much work to do. My situation at every opportunity I get I mention specific dates, classes, and examples so that the issue does not get brushed to one side and also to let the administration know I am not found of such behavior. Also I deal with them directly when they state, "I did not" or "no one told me" by stating if you were here on [insert date] you would have found out.

  3. if i was you i would just forget about them. it took you three years and you still there. that's y i say it takes time for everything. dont give up on yourself. do you care or want to make $6.50 an hour?

  4. well. being somewhat in the same sitch. in my writing class i have 2 of your problem. i would just go talk to either the professor or the dean of your school.
