Putting wood laminate floor in, all the foam did not come up will this be a problem?

  1. The foam must be all removed. Use a scraper or a flat blade shovel to scrape the floor clean. If you don't then your new flooring will not lay flat, thus creating all kinds of problems.

When you say foam I think you mean underlay from the carpet?  If I am correct then you will probably want to spend the time picking out the big chunks.  Laminate is a floating system.  If the floor is uneven the laminate will sit on top of the highpoints.  When you walk on it, the floor will sink and it will feal / sound fake and hollow.  If this doesn't matter to you then you wont damage the laminate.  Personally, I would spend the extra time picking off the underlay to have a near perfect subfloor.  It could be very frustrating, and difficult to fix, once your done.
