http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carles-Puyol-c8331 has come out and described the injury that has sidelined him since the beginning of October as the worst he has ever experienced in his career.

The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 captain came back to action in his team’s 3-1 win over Real Zaragoza on the weekend.
Puyol sustained his injury in the Champions League match against the Portuguese side, Benfica, in early October.
The captain revealed that he had to work very hard so that he could get back to full fitness again. He also mentioned his excitement for being able to play again.
“I’m happy to have come back with a win and also to get back the feel for the game. This has been my worst experience with an injury.”
Since the player has not had any good experience with the injury he said the only thing positive that he could take from his ordeal was the fact that it was just an elbow injury. Since it was an arm injury, he was able to do other
physical exercises.
“The only positive thing is that it was an arm and allowed me to do physical activity fairly quickly.”
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 international has also accepted the manner he jumped for the ball had something to do with the severity of his injury.
The 34-year-old is however not willing to dwell on the past. He contributed the whole incident to just bad luck as he is now ready and focused on the manner he will help his Catalan side.
“You can’t think about what happened, whether you should jump to head the ball or tackle. It’s better to leave things the way they are. I always try to help the team and it was just bad luck.”
Finally, Puyol had also words of praise for his boss, Tito Vilanova, and how his team has progressed under him. He urges his teammates to keep marching on and tighten their defence systems.
“We have to carry on like this and not let up. We must improve our defence a touch but we’re working on it.”
Barcelona have surely missed their influential captain. Still, they are unbeaten in the domestic league and are the leaders of the Primera Division.
