The Spanish defender has now revealed his delight at getting the chance to face AC Milan and is weighing up a very tight contest divided over two legs.
The Barcelona captain stated that he holds great respect for the San Siro outfit and has always admired them.
He was also of the say that their stadium is amazing and it’s a great feeling to take to the pitch in such a beautiful environment.
"Personally I am really happy, not because it will be in any way easy, quite the opposite in fact," the 34-year-old was quoted as saying by UEFA's official website.
