Barcelona have witnessed a lot of injuries this season. The former Spanish champions was marred with injuries and that is one of the only few reasons why they could not win the Spanish La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.

Recently, after finding out about the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carles-Puyol-c8331 will be missing out the Spain’s Euro 2012 campaign after picking up a knee injury, the fans were saddened but still showed their support for the Catalan centre-back.
Carles Puyol has recently thanked his fans for showing their support in his recovery.
This season, the Barcelona club captain returned after a knee surgery and showed the world that he still has what it takes to take La Blaugrana to the dizzying heights.
The “cave man” has helped Barcelona for most of the season. He filled in the void created by Eric Abidal and also scored a few integral goals in the process.
However, it was announced on Tuesday that the 34-year-old experienced defender will be going through another knee surgery that will keep him out of action for 6 weeks.
The news definitely came as a shock for not only the club but also the Spanish national team, who are definitely going to struggle without their first-choice centre-back.
While communicating with his fans via his twitter account, Puyol said:
“Good night! Thank you all for your messages. I’m cheered up, soon at 100%. A big hug!”
Carles Puyol will be going through a surgery on the upcoming Saturday and the injury does not only mean he will be missing out on the Euro 2012 trip, but also the Copa del Rey final which is scheduled to take place later this month.
