Puzzle Question - 9 Pigs, 1 Square.?

So, we got given this one as an extension in my class a little while ago, and it has annoyed me since then. Any help is much appreciated, if its actually possible that is!

Okay, so... 9 Pigs....

Separate them all with one single box. (This is without cutting etc,)

What we were told was the box was not neccessarily square... It basically just has to be one line.

Confusing eh?

Boxes are most certainly square. Do you mean draw a continuous line to separate them all?

why did the pig have ink on it?

Answer: because it just came back from the pen

where each row and column are very close that it will seperate each of them...
