  1. Well i saw that no one answered your question yet so i looked up pygmy seahorses on yahoo search. So i hope this helps. The top site should lead you to a site to seahorses (pygmy)  and the bottom is a site pet co where you can get corral or decor. Good luck.

  2. I assume you mean dwarf seahorses (Hippocampus zosterae) as pygmy seahorses (Hippocampus bargbanti) are a different species and are not available in the aquarium trade. Hippocampus zosterae is one of the easiest seahorses to keep, IF you can dedidicate about 15 minutes a day to their care. They require baby brine shrimp every day, and this cannot be missed under any circumstances, so you must have a trusted friend for when you go on vacation.

Other than that one piece, they are very easy to keep. They require a small aquarium, in fact too large of an aquarium can spell disaster. A 2.5 gallon or 5 gallon aquarium with a sponge filter is all that is needed. A few plastic or silk plants for hitching posts and you're all set. I would try to stick with mixed s*x pairs though, so I'd either get 4 or 6. They do not do well alone.

You can order them from http://www.ccritters.com/

I have ordered them from Dana before, and service is always great. If you want an interesting tankmate, ask for his pygmy pipefish. He doesn't list them on his page, but he can get them if you ask.
