To become a pyschologist, if you just get just a majors, how much money would I make in Canada

And is it extremely hard to get a ph.d

  1. There are too many psych majors in the United States.  There are even more Phd's. Many psych majors go unemployed after college so you should probably stick with the sciences.

    I know two psych phd's and they are both currently unemployed and heavily in debt.

    I know 4 psych majors who have all graduated.  1 works at Ikea another works at Starbucks, another is unemployed and finally the last one is depressed from working with autistic kids 40 hrs a week that scratch her and she is paid only 15/hr. without benefits.  So this is probably your future in psychology.

    It sounds great at first but you should probably consider going into some type of medical field or eng, computer science, be a international spy, or do medical research.

  2. Info at apa.org   I don't know how much applies to Canada, but I have not noticed much difference in my Canadian colleagues......There is info on the different types of psychologists, salary, accredited list of universities, etc.  (college psych professor)
