  1. are you feeding thawed or live? if feeding thawed you might have to get the scent of a live lizard or rodent on it. there are quite a few people that have to do that. they just take a live lizard or rodent and rub it all over the thawed one. if your feeding live then i have no clue. but a snake can easily go a year no problem without eating.

  2. well im having the same problem withh my baby sumatran...i just bought a small mkouse for him/her n i just put it in the tank so buy a small mouse n let5 ur snake hunt it but put the snake in a contqainer or shoe box with some newspaper in it and put them in the dark and hopefully shell eat....thats wat im hoping lol good luck

  3. is your snake a ball python? well all snakes (esp. ball pythons)

    are very stubborn eaters.

try feeding him/her different kids of food

    good options:

    Small mice

    Baby Mice (Pinkies or Fuzzies)

    try different color mice too

feeding him pre-dead or half-dead mice

or let him hunt his own (put a living (small to start) mouse in his/her cage)

and if you absolutely have to you can try to force feed him, if u don't know how:

open up his mouth by pulling at the loose skin under his jaw

once his mouth is open (its helpful to have two people doing this process) put the head of a baby mouse in it, if the snake doesn't quickly bite down on it's head, you have to push it into its mouth a little more, if he doesn't start swallowing use the lubricated handle of a wooden spoon (use mineral oil) and push the mouse down twords his stomach, and once it's past the neck massage it down into his stomach with your hand

  4. Most snakes go thru a period where they dont eat....but its usually around winter time...and it doesnt last that long.....since you have taken her to the vet im assuming you  know that there is no mouth rot or upper respiratory infections?

    Your temps are at what?

Are you feeding frozen or live mice or rats?

Offer them rat pinkies....if she hasnt eaten in that long it may be hard for her digestion when she finally does so i would only give her rat pups until you get her eating regularly again.

I could also recommend force feeding BUT...DO NOT do this yourself.....call a pet store that specializes in reptiles....not petsmart or petco....they have no idea what they are doing.

Ask for someone who has knowledge of reptiles and force feeding snakes.....please dont try it yourself...you can cause major damage to your snake...and yourself!

  5. try a smaller rat or mouse
