I'm training in MMA but up until now I'v worked 90% on grappling, I'm trying to improve my boxing game and become well rounded so I'v set up a little boxing gym in my garage just until I pass my driving test so I can travel to the nearest boxing club, I'v got most of the equipment I need except maybe a speed ball or floor to ceiling ball, I'm just wondering which one is best for improving accuracy.

Thanks

  1. double end ball is your best bet. It more about training head movement and rhythm than anything else though.

  2. The double ended bag (floor to ceiling bag) is great for working on precision punching. It is a relatively small target and it's fast once you get it going, not to mention it tells on you when you aren't punching straight. If you hit it from any angle but dead on center it starts jumping around sideways, so it makes you work even harder on straight accurate punching. Speed bags kind of work a combination of hand speed and rhythm, not vital in my opinion.

  3. floor to ceiling ball becuase it rebounds in all different directions really fast and it takes a lot of accuracy to hit it and make sure it doesnt hit you

  4. Hi

Pads is about the best way to sharpen your reflexes, all you need is someone to wear them who trusts you enough.

    Ray. West York's. U.K.

  5. double end bag, focus mitts, even sharpshooter heavy bags are good for this.  speed bag is mostly just for that- hand speed and endurance p.s- there is a boxing category.

  6. floor to ceiling ball in my experience.

    Best wishes :)***

  7. yeah the mits are good for combos but the double ended bag is difficult as h**l to hit
