I love Wimbledon, but I'm confused: why is it that when Ana Ivanovitch, the most un-deserving World No.1 I've ever seen in my life by the way, was playing Nathalie Dechy the other day, did the match finish something like 10-8? I thought that once they got to 7 all, they had to play a tie-break as they couldn't go above 7 matches?? Can anyone help? Y did it keep going and not go to the tie-break?

(Nadal & Venuz for this yrs Champs!!!)

  1. well.. at wimbledon they make u play it out in the final set.. no tie breaks

  2. when it gets to 6 all in all sets it goes to tiebreak. In the deciding set (3rd set for women and 5th set for men) they do not play a tiebreak. You keep playing and you have to win by two games.

  3. You have no idea what the rules are and you are commenting on who deserves to be # 1.

    unfreaking bealivable lol

  4. Righteous Revolution - this was not what happens, and for u to assume this shows that u dnt reli know nething about tennis. Also hours b4 u wrote ur comment Sharapova was knocked out in 2 sets. Keep up to date b4 u start pretending u know what ur talking about - bad TV channel isn't an excuse. There's internet, teletext ect, - don't comment until u know what ur talking about!

As many have alredi mantioned, at wimbledon the deciding set is always playyed out until 1 person leads by 2 games.

Also I think Ivanovic is a deserving #1.

She's powerful, consistent, and mentally brilliant.

In a way she's similar to sharapova but her ground strokes are overall far better.

Who else is there who cud be #1 - Venuz is inconsistent she barely plays, and she only turns up for wimbledon - Serena same problem (doesn't play enough) - Sharapova is consistently a topp performer, but she hasn't been as sucessful as Ana recently - Jankovic could soon challenge the spot, but her performances in majors havn't been fantastic.

I also feel its unfair for u to sey she doesn't deserve to be #1, if u don't understand the rules.

Just remember AT WIMBLEDON THE DECIDING SET IS ALWAYS PLAAYED OUT UNTIL SOMEONE LEADS BY 2 GAMES.

The fact that u didn't relaise that this is just a rule of wimbledon following u seeing the result seems a bit stupid.

  5. It most likely was 6-6, and they went to a tie breaker, which resulted in the 10-8 points (b/c you have to win by two.)

I unfortunately was not able to see Wimbledon :'( that channel on out TV isn't that great.

btw, I think Sharapova deserves #1 spot, and she's gonna get it soon.

    Djokovic and Sharapova for Wimbledon!!

  6. Are you crazy? Why do you think she is undeserving? She won french open lol! She isn't the favourite at any grandslam but she will assert her authority......she need's time....

  7. wimbledon rule: in the final set for women (3rd set) and for men (5th set) no tiebreak and win by 2 games

    it's just a rule...
