Q for those of you who wear shalwar kameez?

do you buy ready made outfits or lose material and get it sewn by a tailor??

i live in UK, so i get my auntys to buy me anything really. simple homewear and casual party clothes, i get stiched. the tailor sometimes makes really nice ones soi save them for eid etc. however sometimes i do get ready made outfits, but the fitting isnt always great. i prefer to get ready made kurtas - theyr great!

Loose material and have it sewn by a tailor. I'm gonna learn how to sew myself so I can make them myself!

I'm getting ready to buy my first one.  I saw it online and it was so pretty. I can't wait to wear it when I go see my husband later this year in Morocco. I'm also buying a new jelleba, and while I'm there his mom and aunt will make me some new ones.

I usually get lose material which is sewn by a tailor but if I find something that's ready made I buy it...depends really. =)

my cousins wear that and they get theirs made in Pakistan cos its like ridiculously cheap over there :P whereas over here, they find them too expensive :P :s

both the ready made for occasions and are mostly Fancy and the sewn by a tailor are for house use by the way i get them fro  Pakistan bcz they are really nice their and are even really cheap

well, I buy ready made outfits for special occasions. and for normal, like for daily basis, I get unstitched clothes stitched.coz then they are more comfortable :) ~!

i got tons of ready made when my mom went to Pakistan in 2006....n then i brought tons myself when i went to pakistan last year....because the ones that we get here are more like Indian shalwar kameez.....and the colors are dark pink, orange, yellow, light green.....:S.....ugly colors....they are not worth the money.....and my mom too knows how to sew....so we purchase the fabric and mom deals with it
