  1. How are you? What do you recommend here? do you serve beer? wine?  a lot of times the cust would ask for a special of the day or what is under 5.99. Depending on the customers and where they come from the questions can be quite interesting.

  2. how long have you been working here?

  3. I use to be one--it depends on where you work--at a family restaurant, the questions are pretty normal, depending on  who is asking--if it is a male and he is interested in you, he may ask you for a date, phone no. where you live etc., a female may ask for info. about working there. Families will usually ask for something to do with the food, seating, something to accomodate a child, disabled member----at a truck stop with truckers and what they call "fly-by-nights" (one-time customer)--the questions can range from are you availabel to wanting directions to some place local or where they are headed or delivering. Questions are a dime a dozen at restaurants and can be just about anything.

  4. i get a lot of judgemental questions about why i am a waitress and not doing more with my life. its pretty annoying sometimes.

  5. are you pregnant...luckily i was

  6. When I was a waitress,I used to get asked out all the time, by gross guys, or married ones too

  7. they use to ask me where im from

  8. I waitressed in a big inner city  hotel  and we had a lot of international guests eating in the  restaurant where I worked. I was expected to be  a walking encyclopedia  about my  town and what was going on there. Not that I minded, I was a very proud resident of Sydney Australia and love telling people about it :)
