Q to pakistanis bros/sist why faisal mosque in islamabad has become a picnic spot rather than a scared place.

@ Love Allah, I doubt if you are really a Muslim, are you? just asking, curious I'm to know because A muslim shouldn't be the way u are, i mean what I have been reading through ure answers, no offense :)

Brother, that masjid is so beautiful MashaAllah that many come there and like to sit there, which is ok, but what you have written, like a picnic spot, thats absolutely wrong in my opinion. we should respect that place.

but we cannot help it. Government should play its role, or we should come up with a community or something which could stop that happening but again, useless. This is Pakistan brother ~!

Yeah I noticed that when we went there back in 2000. It was more like a tourist spot, I can't even remember seeing people pray there... And the way people were dressed...

First clear ur mind and that is Faisal mosque is not a scared place its only a big mosque for praying five times. it was funded by king faisal of saudi arabia thats why its name becomes faisal mosque.

as this mosque is an identity to islamabad so tourist comes and see that place and took some photos for their memories. i dont think so any harm in it.

but yes the worst thing in this mosque is  that a dictator who killed millions of muslims was burried in this mosque. His burial is a scar on this mosque

the same thing in omayad mosque in damascus syria,i went there few times and not only what u mentioned but ppl sleeping inside the mosque,and having picnics...

i was like WHAT??

Well  Said ! I think u are right ! Its more Kinda HOneyMoon and dating Spot nowadays !

The reason being is as we were Part of  Sub-Continent be4 we have picked up many bad habits from Hindu Like going to Temple and bowing Etc Etc

This is Just another one u just mentioned !  If u go there it seems like a Garden or some Amusement park ! Plus the Body of a Rascal Zia is also Burried there !

If u observe that all over the world or Muslim world the Islamic monuments like mosques, domes (Mazars ) became a picnic point mor then it's real purpose

And as u know faisal mosque is one of the beautiful building of Pakistan  

beside that one can go to Daman e koh  the hill station  I  visited once it is nice place

Even though im not from Faislabad and from Karachi i can say that peoples' focus are going away from their deen nd they are givin more attention to fashion in Pakistan..ufff...

They think they are fulfilling the responsibilities of a muslim by praying and readin Qur'an and thats it!

It's been a while since I last went there but yes I would agree with you. People dont really take that as a mosque but its merely an attraction for tourists now !
