QB Tom Brady and New England Patriots odds on for comfortable win on Sunday - Super Bowl Special
The New England Patriots are favourites to lift the Lombardi trophy once more as they make their seventh Super Bowl appearance under Coach Bill Belichick.
We have some great odds on http://www.bettor.com for a Patriots win. New England is favoured to win the greatest game ever on Sunday by more than a 3.5 points margin. Bettors can get great odds of 2.22 for a Patriots victory
on that score.
It is no coincidence that New England is the favourite. Pounding sides throughout the regular season and in the playoff rounds, led by the ever brilliant quarterback Tom Brady their offence is as fearsome as they come and packed with a secondary that has
improved considerably the odds reflect their advantage.
History may show us that New York Giants are no pushovers and their 2007 defeat of the Patriots in the Super Bowl is something New England will be hungry to put right.
Statistically the Patriots offence is stronger than New York Giants. The Patriots led by Brady have been in devastating form scoring an average of 34 points per game while also ramping up 419.5 yards.
Brady himself has this year passed for a total of 5,235 yards in the regular season while ramping up 602 yards in the postseason and has passed for a total of 45 touchdowns.
New England also has in their two postseason games have won by a margin of three points or more. They crushed the Denver Broncos in the division round by a huge 45-10 margin while just about beat the Baltimore Ravens with a 23-20 victory to march into the
Super Bowl.
However this is not to count out the Giants who have greatly improved in defence in their last few games and even stopped the Green Bay Packers juggernaut in the division rounds.
All the stats will go out of the window on game day as so nicely put by Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo.
“It’s a one-game season,” Mayo said. “Nothing else matters. None of the stats from the regular season, none of the stats from the postseason, matter. It’s all about Sunday and that’s our focus.”
For now though all signs point to a closely fought game but the safest bet will be a punt on New England Patriots to win by a margin of four points or more because there will be no other team more pumped up than the Patriots to bring the Lombardi Trophy
home and put to rest all their ghosts from that fateful 2007 night.
