Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christopher-Samba-c9212 despite the player being linked with a move away.
Samba, the 27-year-old Congolese defender, has revealed he would not give his100 per cent for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 if they insist to keep him past the winter transfer window. He has become disillusioned with the club and wishes to part ways as soon as possible.
According to the player, the club’s manager and owners had made promises they have not kept, which is why Samba is determined on a move away. Samba also felt it was time for a fresh challenge, which is why he was looking forward to an Ewood Park exit.
While Samba was initially linked with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, the London sides have not expressed interest in acquiring his services since the beginning of the winter transfer window.
A side who were linked with Samba in January are Queens Park Rangers. It was believed they had gone on to make two bids for the central defender, both of which had been rejected by the club. However, manager Mark Hughes rejected the reports.
Hughes said while speaking to reporters:
“We expressed an interest and I think we actually put in a couple of bids, but that was two or three weeks ago. Blackburn came out very strongly and said they didn't want to encourage any more bids so that is where we left it.”
The former Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City manager confirmed he had been interested in the player but had decided to back off after it became apparent that the Rovers were not willing to part ways with Samba, who they considered to be one of their best players.
Hughes continued:
“That situation seems to have come to a head between the player and his club. It is a shame as I obviously worked with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 at Blackburn and I know them as a club and him as a player.
It is a shame the relationship seems to have broken down, but it is their problem that they have to resolve.”
