Hughes, the former Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 boss who recently replaced Neil Warnock at QPR, revealed he was hoping to bring in Alex to strengthen his squad. He revealed he had already spoken to the player and had revealed to him his plans for the future.
Hughes said while speaking to reporters:
“Talks are ongoing. I've spoken to him and told him my feelings towards him as a player. It's a big decision for him. We're trying to get things finalised and get over the line with it.
The hope is that we'll get deals done sooner rather than later, but I can't say for sure whether it'll be sooner at the moment.”
Even though Hughes remains confident of securing Alex in the January transfer window, the Blues seem to be hesitant on letting the defender leave for Loftus Road. Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas was reported to have claimed he would not let Alex leave
for QPR.
According to the young Portuguese manager, Alex was a world class player with interest from various top sides. There was no way he would let the centre back leave for newly promoted side QPR, whom he felt were not good enough for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 international.
