The west London side are looking to bring in players in the January transfer window and one of the players on their transfer list is Samba. QPR manager Neil Warnock admitted that he was in need to strengthen the squad so his side could avoid relegation at
the end of the season.
While an overall improvement in needed in the team, Warnock identified defence as one of the main areas of improvement. He revealed they were looking to bring in players before the 15th of January so they could participate in the upcoming clash
against Newcastle United.
Warnock said while speaking to reporters:
“We are working very hard behind the scenes and before Newcastle (on January 15) we want them in place. That is what we're working towards.
We have got options for a number of positions and it is like everybody else as you don't know whether you are going to sign anybody until the actual signature is on the paper.”
The manager admitted he had a number of players identified and was looking to bring them in, if an agreement could be reached in the upcoming days. However, he admitted that the transfer window was uncertain and that is how he had planned his spending.
He continued:
“Things change. This week a couple of my targets were made out of bounds now so you look elsewhere. It is all like that.
There is money to spend but I am not going to throw it away stupidly. I know there are targets and [chairman] http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tony-c35440 Fernandes is doing his best.”
Warnock has been given the green signal to spend money in the transfer window but the Englishman does not intend to waste it. He is looking for the right players in the right positions to be brought in the mid-season transfer window.
So far, Samba is one of the players who fit the bill. While http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 beat them to his signature.
