QSI CDRW/DVD SBW242Cnot reading disks

Question

just bought the laptop from a friend of mine. werks great other than it gets really hot after 20 minutes of runtime and the cd/dvd rom wont rad disks...thought of and external rom and compresed air...what do you think?I assume the optical reader moves up and down the channel beginning at the gear spindle. I think that what ever movers the optical reader on my qsi cdre/dvdsbw 241in my notebook is broken. Any mickey mouse fix or more professionally, any ideas Actually I have a hp pavilion ze4500. I guess it is so old itis not listed in the drop downmenu I attempted to download driver for my qsi cdrw/dvd sbw242c drive but it does not register as being installed. how do I get around this issue?QSI CDRW/DVD SBW242C Driver anywhere?Device Manager problem: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware.
