  1. Maybe you're having a memory problem. Try this site and see if is something you can use:

  2. Downloading music with limewire is illegal.

  3. http://www.mp3realm.org/

Limewire used properly is a good program to search for music.

You say, that limewire kind of screwed up your other pc and that it became slow.

I do not know how fast your pc was, but another reason that limewire can slow your computer, is, that you download too many files at the same time.

Every download takes a little away from your internet speed. Never download more than 5 to 8 files at the same time.

P2P programs have a lot of fake (dummy) files. When you download  a fake file your computer will get infected. You always see a lot  of those very small files, too small to be an song. It is  therefore very likely, that hose small files are the dummies.

You should start your downloads with files larger than 2500/3000kb.

Have your anti virus up to date, just in case

Here you can download Limewire Pro for free

  4. Blubster

It is awesome and it is just as good.=]

  5. Yeah, download µTorrent at www.utorrent.com or some other BitTorrent client and learn the way of the torrent.  Limewire is old-school, first-generation peer-to-peer stuff.  BitTorrent is fourth-gen, I believe.

Or you could subscribe to Rhapsody for $10/mo and legally listen to all the music you want.

  6. well try frostwire or bearshare

  7. The link below is to Ares, a free software that is a P2P program.  According to my peers, it's like limewire.

Ares will slow your internet if it is downloading or uploading content, so it is important to close it if you need to browse for something.
