So here is my situation, I had my car stolen about two months ago. And it was recovered two weeks after the day it had got stolen. I never had any type of insurance on it. It is clean title when I bought it. I had made a police report saying it was stolen. And I am wondering does the DMV system also have a record knowing it was stolen? Because I keep thinking that if the police system has a record of it, shouldn't the DMV too? Because I want to get full coverage on my car, after I fix it up and everything. Or would the insurance not be able to give me full coverage? My friend told me that my title is still clean because only insurance can claim if it is slavage title. Please give me some real answers. And thank you in advance!

  1. Your title is still clean and you can get full coverage on it.

  2. What really what matters in insurance issues is whether or not you made any claims. So basically bec your car was stolen but uninsured you couldn't make a insurance claim so there is no claim to hold against you.

Try not to panic bec all is okay just get a few different quotes on insurance and I highly advice you to try some insurance brokers too bec many can get you a fair deal due to the huge list of possible insurance companies etc.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way you don't have to mention anything about that car being stolen from you in past bec really no claim was ever made.

  3. based upon your status,I believe you should find something useful here.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...

  4. Do you have the title for the car?  If you have the title, the car and the license plates are up to date. all you need to do is call your insurance company. The insurance company might ask you if it was ever stolen, but PROBABLY not.  You don't need to offer this information.

They might ask you if you had other insurance, just say you never had it. And now you want it.
