  3. www.petfinder.com good luck!

  4. There is no such thing as FREE. If you cannot afford to pay for a dog you certainly cannot afford to keep it.

  5. You're not going to find one from a breeder for free. Check breed rescues in your area for one, it still won't be free, but at least it will be one less dog out of a shelter.

  6. Why buy a dog if not everyone in the family is wanting one. Not fair on the dog.

  7. try www.petfinder.com to find dogs for adoption.  You wont likely find one "free".. but you will find some for a low adoption fee.

  8. craigslist.com-most are free or for a low price.

  9. look to your RSVP for one. save a life.

Look for a rescue in the area. You might also find one in a local shelter.

  12. I like the look of a english cocker spaniel. They are so cute.

  13. your best bet is to look at the cocker spaniel club-parent club of the breed-website, here are links to various rescue reps http://www.thecockerspanielclub.co.uk/re...

also regional breed clubs who may know of breeders with young adults for re-homing http://www.thecockerspanielclub.co.uk/br...

BUT before you consider a young cocker, do you know about the health checks that need to be done for the breed? how about the amount of grooming? exercise? etc.....also the only way you will get a cocker for under £300 or as cheap as possible is if you go to a 'dodgy' breeder that doesn't give two hoots about health checks, dodgy breeding practices, or KC registration!

my cocker boys for instance were purchased from reputable breeders who health test their breeding stock, they are healthy and fit specimens, and adhere to the breed standard too, BUT they both cost WAY OVER £300 as they were both bought as proven show winning young adults, even a well bred, health checked pup you are looking at paying over £300. so a young adult of 'pet quality' from health checked stock will cost more than the £300 you wish to pay.

  14. How about your local dog rescue shelter?
