I need to know how it takes to travel by metro from Montparnasse to Gare du Nord..

I have 1hr 25 minutes.. But this includes getting of the train, buying the metro ticket, etc and when I get to Gare Du Nord, going to the Eurostar platform and checking in.. I will have slightly heavy bags..

Will I have enough time.. Or should I catch an earlier train?????

PLEASE can I have a quick answer because I'm booking my train

Thank you!

  1. 25 min by metro

  2. From the Montparnasse Metro station to the Gare du Nord will take 17 minutes exclusive of waiitng time. That's the pure rail time.

The walk between SNCF platform to the metro platform is 4 or 5 minutes. So you will need another 5 minutes at each end.

EDIT: I misread you question to read 25 minutes and not 1 hour and 25 minutes. One hour and 25 minutes is enough time to make the trip.

  3. you should to be 30 or 40 minutes in the train station in order to buy the ticket and to find the train.

the travel from Montparnasse to Gare du Nord takes you more or less 40 minutes.

i think you must to leave the hotel 2 hours before, in order you can make all you need

  4. Bonjour ! if you say you have one hour and 25 mns spare, I think you have got enough time to get from Gare Montparnasse to Gare du Nord, buy the ticket and get to the platform .

There are 13 stops between the 2 stations and that should not take more than half an hour !

Do not hesitate to ask for information if you feel you are losing time when arriving at Gare du Nord to find the right platform. Parisians are mostly happy to help travelers in distress ! lol !

I wish you  a good journey ! Bon voyage !
