It's not any type of vegetarian at all.  Some people call it a pescetarian but most people won;t know what it means and it's not related to vegetarianism.

I've always called them "Fishitarians"

I have heard the term "Flexitarian" in a magazine.

But most people who eat only vegetables and fish, usually call themselves "Vegetarians". I don't think they should be able to use the term "vegetarian" but a lot do.

Vegetarians/vegans (veg*ns) do not eat fish. As peta2 says, they aren't little swimming vegetables. :]

Unfortunately there are a few websites and articles out there that do try to say vegetarians do eat fish even defining it as "pesco-vegetarian" but if there is any name to be assigned to it, then "pescetarian" is it without any "vege" inclusion. This is important in part because people will think vegetarians eat fish and make "vegetarian" dishes for them which are fish based. This leads to hurt feelings, and hunger.

But the technical term is pescetarian. i just wish people would use it.

Story:

I knew a girl who called herself a vegetarian, when she ate fish, poultry, turkey etc. all the dead birds. So one of her friends is eating a bacon turkey sandwich and she asks for a bite. Friend says "it's not vegetarian." girl says "I don't care." and takes a big bite. the next dya i hear her calling herself a vegetarian. the next week she comes in with a big, steaming dunkin donuts bacon turkey flatbread sandwich. some vegetarian. *****.
