Qatar Sports Investments’ money declared clean by DNCG – Ligue 1 news
President of la Ligue de Football Professionnel, Frederic Thiriez, has declared the investment of new Paris Saint-Germain owners, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Sports Investments, as clean.
A slight scepticism surrounding Qatar Sports Investments’ huge investment in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 family. Doubts were fuelled once PSG exposed their riches in the summer transfer window. Following the acquisition of 70 percent
stakes of Paris Saint-Germain, QSI spent in excess of 80 million Euros to acquire some of the most talented players in Europe.
All the scepticism was quelled following the investigation of La Direction nationale de controle de gestion (DNCG). According to reports in the French media, Thiriez spoke about the financial bonanza of Les Parisiens and appreciates the influx of money into
Ligue 1 because it is “clean money.”
The Mr.600 million Euros man was quoted saying, “It’s a chance for Paris Saint-German to advance in the French football Championnat and since the money is clean their commitment [with France] is long term.”
QSI have been very active since their arrival at Parc des Princes on 31 May, 2011. With preference for Brazilian magic, former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 was approached and appointed as the sporting director of PSG.
Together Leonardo and the Qataris revolutionised the capital club by building a club that would be compatible with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, Real Madrid and Manchester United. In the summer transfer window, the Brazilian sporting director recruited nine players
for more than 80 million Euros including the record breaking transfer of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082 from Serie A side U.S Citta di Palermo.
With millions of dollars spent, QSI revealed their high ambitions of winning a treble. Les Parisiens are competing in the UEFA Europa League and despite their high-profile players in the dugout they will have to work hard to reach the top of the podium.
Following a disastrous start (1-0 defeat at home to Lorient), Les Rouge-et-Bleu have come back strong, wining three straight games in the domestic league.
Currently ranked fourth in Week 5 of the 2011/12 Ligue 1 Championelle, PSG have already started showing their worth in the league and will be looking to further silence their critics as they face Red Bull Salzburg in a UEFA Europa League group game at home.
