Qeustion about a BB shotgun.?

I have an Smith & Wesson M3000 shotgun BB gun, and on the side of it, it has a little switch and one side says normal and one side says hop. What do both of those mean and what is the difference?

  1. Hop is short for hopper which is the optional sold separately clip magazine.
