Qibin Zhang pockets Men’s 50m butterfly gold – 2012 Chinese National Swimming Championships
Qibin Zhang of Shandong pocketed gold medal of the Men’s 50m butterfly on second day of the 2012 Chinese National Long Course Swimming Championship in Huangshan, Anhui Province on Monday, September 24.
Zhang, who was inevitably strong for the title of the shortest butterfly discipline, lived up to the expectations of his supporters as he accomplished gold medal.
He faced strong contest from his following swimmer in the start of the race but with his unimaginable pace, he cemented his place on top of the medal rostrum for gold medal.

She experienced fierce battle from her subsequent rival in the race but succeeded in outperforming her over the wall for the title. Her gruelling pace remained just a stroke faster from his following swimmer as he pocketed gold medal by reporting an effort
of 1 minute and 08.84 seconds.
The second position of the race was obtained by Xiaoyu Liu of Liaoning, who was 0.21 seconds behind and touched the wall for silver medal by reporting a time of 1 minute and 09.05 seconds.
Liu was trailed by Yuele Wu of Guangzhou Army, who remained 0.39 seconds behind and ended third in the event by submitting an effort of 1 minute and 09.44 seconds.
