Qing Tian and Yunlei Zhao find a perfect start in Women’s Doubles Group A at BWF Superseries Finals
China’s experienced players Tian Qing and Zhao Yunlei found a perfect start in Women’s Doubles group A when they toppled Aroonkesorn Duanganong and Kunchala Voravichitchaikul of Thailand at BWF Superseries Finals 2012 in China, on Wednesday, December 12.
The in-form Chinese shuttlers, who are third seeded players in the main draw of the tournament, put up spectacular show of top class badminton and demolished their Thai opponents in a dominating manner.
Qing and Yunlei showed their aggressive skills in the arena and they remained successful in finishing up this Women’s Doubles battle in straight games with a staggering margin on the board while consuming just 34 minutes in the arena.
On the other hand, the lower ranked Aroonkesorn and Kunchala were unable to cope up with the remarkable skills of their challengers and eventually went down in a vulnerable fashion without taking any set.
It was an interesting fight in the initial points when Qing and Yunlei showed attacking display of his craft on court.
Qing and Yunlei were incredibly quick in getting the bird early and they did not encounter any complication in placing their attacking strokes in right areas.
The higher ranked Chinese shuttlers did not show any respect to their Thai challengers in the first part and clinched a comfortable lead on score board.
Aroonkesorn and Kunchala tried to play attacking badminton but remained unable to take charge of the game and remained trailing in the concluding part.
The positive and aggressive play of Qing and Yunlei assisted them to bag the opening game with a sound margin of 21-17.
Aroonkesorn and Kunchala increased their speed to play smart badminton in the first part of second set but they failed to build pressure on their Chinese opponents.
Until the one-minute interval, the lofty Qing and Yunlei continued playing with command and variations and remained ahead on the score board.
The aggressive and positive play in the ending part of second set helped Qing and Yunlei to take the set with a superb difference of 21-7.
Qing and Yunlei emerged as the winners in this straight set contest in just 34 minutes with a tremendous 21-17 and 21-7 score on the board.
