Qiu Bo nabs the men’s 10m platform title: Day two of 2011 FINA-MIDEA Diving World Series
The day two of the 2011 FINA/MIDEA Diving World Series started in a stunning fashion with the most astonishing and all round performance of the Chinese diver, Qiu Bo, in the 10m platform at the Marco Sports Centre in Guanajuato yesterday.
Bo captured the golden crown in the 10m platform with a remarkable score of 582.45. On the other hand, Thomas Daley of Great Britain took the silver medal with a total score of 562.80, while Rommel Pacheco of Mexico took home the bronze medal with a distinctive
score of 540.90 in the respective meet.
The crowd really enjoyed the most enthralling and versatile diving performance of the Chinese diver Qiu Bo in the 10m platform at the Marco Sports Centre last night.
Meanwhile, China's He Zi picked up the top seed in the women’s 3m springboard with a fascinating score of 385.05. Canada's Jennifer Abel snared the silver medal with a fabulous score of 353.55, while Kassidy Cook of the United States of America had to settle
for a bronze with 336.60 points in this meet.
On the other side, China's Chen Ruolin and Hao Wang took home the golden crown in the women’s 10m platform synchro with a stunning score of 353.70. Canada's Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion came second with a sterling score of 327.45, while Alexandra
Croak and Melissa Wu of Australia captured the bronze medal with a stunning score of 323.22 in the respective meet.
In the men’s 3m springboard synchro, the Mexican divers Yahel Castillo and Daniel Islas snagged the golden crown with an outstanding score of 437.07. They really stunned the entire Guanajuato’s crowd due to their most dynamic, animated and versatile diving
performances.
In the meantime, Troy Dumais and Kristian Ipsen of the USA took the silver medal with a total score of 431.28 and Illya Kvasha and Prygorov Oleksiy grabbed the bronze title with a 410.58. Luo Yutong and Qin Kai of China was not able to take part in Guanajuato.
Hence, the second and the final day of the 2011 FINA-Midea Diving World Series ended on high note with the 6 gold medals of China at the Marco Sports Centre in Guanajuato, Mexico.
Mexico clinched the 2 gold titles and 2 bronze medals in this Diving World Series.
The crowd was absolutely stunning, appreciating and supportive for all the divers at Guanajuato in Mexico.
Last of all, this Diving World Series provided excellent opportunities to the divers from all over the world for the upcoming FINA World Championships in Shanghai in July.
