  1. You can do QoS on an appliance, but how many people and how much do you dedicate to each user?  A T1 isn't very much bandwidth anymore.  Maybe you should get your own broadband, because I don't see an apartment owner deploying a QoS solution.

  2. Have you thought about FIOS from Verizon??

FIOS is far superior, Verizon hires quality union people. They have pride in their work. They are not contractors or piece workers. With most of the companies you listed they pay their people by the job so most of them "hack and run" as to get to their next job.

Satellite depends on the weather, areal blocks such as trees, wires etc.

Cable is distributed via coaxial line and the signal is shared not only by your building but also by your neighborhood and then brought to a hub where other neighborhoods are connected into and then another where several areas are then connected before it goes to the distribution signal.

FIOS is a glass fiber line from your home directly back to your local central office. You share your signal with nobody!

You have your land line options such as caller id, call waiting, call forwarding etc...

    You have your different Internet speeds of 10/2, 20/5, 20/20, & 50/20

You also have the different STB (set top box) options of HD, HD DVR, Std, Std DVR. Along with viewing options of multi room, HD, and don't forget about the movie/sport/foreign language packages.

You can also bundle in your cell phone plans too.
