I have this laptop for about 3 years now and the cooling system has been down twice. I sent it over to the Toshiba depot when it was still under warranty. Now, the same problem happened again and it's not under any warranty anymore. I took it to a repair shop and they're asking me $250.00 for parts and labor. I don't know if this is the right amount because I know the laptop fan is only less than $50.00. I really don't trust this pc repair store because they said they would evaluate and diagnose the problem in 24 hours. I got a call from them the next day and told me that my cooling system needed to be fixed! The bad thing is that's what I told them from the start!! What the h**l was that evaluation for when that's the only reason I came to them. What do I do?

  1. If they are good enough they'll test other possibilities because when your computer or notebook shutdown after some time many things can be the cause of this problem including the cooler of the processor, the computer power source, cable and also virus such as blaster or sasser at windows.

If you don't trust them you can get your notebook back and go to somewhere else if it does not has the warranty.
