Quad level home w/built in pool - pool removal and resale issues w/home.?

I am currently looking for a new home. I found one that I like but it is a quad (4) level home with a built in pool. I would want to get the pool filled in or removed. Anyone with experience with this? What am I looking at for cost/headache? Also, I have heard selling a quad level home is more difficult than other styles. Any comments on this?

  1. You've not said what kind of pool concrete, fiberglass, vinyl. That would make a big difference as the latter two are easy. Concrete isn't bad, just need some heavy equipment for a couple of days and figure debris disposal cost. Then add in the cost of fill. Remember though they will make a mess of the whole yard. Landscaping will have to be redone no matter.

    When you are talking about resell, much depends on the community. In a popular community the home will sell no matter. Rural or less popular you will need to figure the market.


  2. also if you ever decide to sale you will get far less without the pool
