Quad only runs with full choke ?

Question

my kawak 650cc vtwin quad will only run and stay running with the choke on.

checked the air filter was dirty cleaned it. new gas. it was in storage but had this prob right before i put it in storage

any ideas/solutions would be kick @$$ thanks

Clean your carb.

Clean the plug and carb out.Use a compressor to clean the carb and hopefully any dirt will get blown out. Make sure the carb is fully dry before you try and run again.

you have rust in your carb, have someone who knows what their doing rebuild your carb.

Carb bowl & jets probably blocked with crud & rust. Strip & clean, also worth steam cleaning the tank out & stripping and cleaning the fuel tap.

Check for an air leak where the carb and the manifold meets the head. Spray WD 40 around the connections. The idle speed should not change. If it does, you have a leak. The carb may be gummed up as well. Just gumout spray the bejesus out of it, including all of the orifices.

If the ATV sat for a while, the gas in the carburetor probably gummed up. Take the carburetor off and spray it out with carburetor cleaner. I have had to do this with mine.
