Quad-skates with carry-on luggage?

Hi, has anyone been able to bring their quad-skates (http://www.backstreetinline.com/quadspeed/Carrera.jpg) with their carry-on luggage? I have a bookbag I usually carry them around in. I would rather carry them on than put them in checked-luggage.

I don't think it would be a problem, but you can check with your airline to double check.
