Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, recap of seventh round (Part2)
Habib Bank Limited versus Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Habib-Bank-Limited-c788, overpowered Zarai Taraqiati Bank, in a one sided affair at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Habib Bank completely dominated the match, as they registered an eight-wicket win against ZTBL.
HBL won the toss and offered the opposition to bat first in trying conditions. On a wicket that was offering seam bowlers a fair amount of help, ZTBL struggled to make an impact with the bat, as they crumbled to a poor score of 118 in their first innings.
Kashif Daud was the only batsman to make an impact with the bat as he played resiliently for his 27-run innings. His defiant innings helped his team to pile up at-least 118 runs.
The bowling for HBL was superb, as they flourished on a bowling friendly wicket. It was always going to be tough, scoring runs against a quality attack that possessed http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Azhar-Mahmood-c1116, Kamran Hussain and Danish Kaneria in their ranks.
Azhar scythed through the opposition top order, as he registered brilliant figures of 5/41 in 15 incisive overs. Kamran Younis was brilliant with his left-arm swing bowling, as he dismissed two batsmen. To everyone’s surprise, Younis Khan amazed everyone with his gritty medium pace bowling as he scalped three wickets in the process.
In reply Habib Bank started off their first innings in a bad manner as they were two down when it was only 20 runs on the board. An 84-run partnership between Hassan Raza and Aftab Alam, led the revival of their team, as they pushed HBL into a considerable lead of 55 runs.
Hassan Raza led from the front as he recorded the only half-century for Habib Bank, scoring 60 runs. Meanwhile, Kamran Hussain backed his bowling performance with a 42-run innings, as he steered his team to a massive total of 299 runs.
Mohammad Khalil was the pick of the bowlers for Taraqiati Bank, as his magnificent left-arm bowling earned him healthy dividends. As a result the left-arm quick bowler scalped 5/64 in a marathon spell of 24 overs.  Kashif Daud and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rehan-Riaz-c84633 gathered two wickets each as they provided Khalil with decent support.
This time around Zarai Bank displayed a better show in their second outing, as they racked up a competitive total of 361 runs. They started their innings in an emphatic manner, as they put up a brilliant 124-run opening partnership.
However, they crumbled in the middle overs as they lost four wickets in quick succession. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yasir-Hameed-c2811 was the star of the show as he played the best of the entire match scoring 171 runs and cracking 24 scintillating boundaries.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Danish-Kaneria-c1314 wreaked havoc for the opposition batsmen as he grabbed eight wickets in the second innings. In the second innings the wicket was offering a significant amount of turn and bounce. Resultantly, Kaneria took complete advantage of the deteriorating surface as he bagged remarkable figures of 8/99. On the other hand, Azhar Mahmood and Kamran Hussain chipped in with a wicket apiece.
A target of 181 runs was always going to be an easy walk in the park for the strong bating line-up of HBL. As expected, HBL completed the total in an emphatic manner losing only two wickets.
